wired is a tiling environment, which means your windows arrange themselves automatically. Instead of hunting for windows with your mouse, you navigate with workspaces, the launcher, and your keyboard.
Workspaces are like having multiple desktops. Press Super+1 through Super+0 to jump between workspaces 1 and 10, or click the numbers in the top panel. Move the focused window to another workspace with Super+Shift+number. A good habit: one workspace for browsing, one for the terminal, one for music.
Press Super+Tab to open the launcher, then just start typing the name of what you want. Super+D opens a command bar for running raw commands. Super+Enter always gives you a fresh terminal.
navi-Q is navi's pop-up companion. Alt+A pops it up with an agent ready to help, and Alt+Shift+A pops up a quick terminal. It appears over whatever you're doing and dismisses just as fast — no need to rearrange your workspace for a quick question or command.
Hey Lain is navi's voice assistant. Tap Alt+V to start listening, speak your request, and tap again (or just pause) to let her answer. She handles desktop commands directly — "move this window to workspace 3", "switch to workspace 1" — and chats conversationally about anything else through a small local language model. Your voice never leaves the machine: speech recognition and the voice itself run locally. Ask her "what can you do?" for the full tour.
Super+arrow keys moves focus between windows. Super+Shift+arrow keys swaps windows around on the grid. Super+F toggles fullscreen on the focused window, and Super+Shift+Space toggles floating for windows that don't tile well (like some dialogs).
At the login screen you can pick your session before entering your password: Wayland (sway) is the default and where navi shines, while X11 (i3) is there as a fallback for older hardware or tricky applications.
