navi is a Debian-based distro featuring our wired tiling window management setup — and it's agent-native, with AI agents baked in from the first boot, not bolted on.
wired is a heavily customized environment, bringing together a collection of FOSS tools to create a cohesive whole. It is keyboard-driven and tiling-first, placing your windows into a grid of tiles and arranging them automatically when new windows are open or closed. No more hunting and dragging windows around with the mouse!
wired follows our nightshadeNeon theme, and sports a Serial Experiments Lain aesthetic, giving it a retro-futuristic feel. As of the 1.6 "mika" release — the cohesion update — nightshadeNeon is one design language across the whole desktop: the GTK theme, the Moka icon set, the terminal, the panel, the launcher, and notifications all speak the same deep blacks, neon pink, and phosphor green.
Computers are supposed to be fun. Remember when computers were fun? They still can be, thanks to the amazing world of GNU/Linux and open-source, everyone can escape the 'corporate' world of computers and make them feel truly personal again! We wanted to create a unique, bespoke environment that really speaks to what makes GNU/Linux awesome, and embrace it.
navi and the wired environment is built to be an easy-to-use, beautiful environment set up with our aesthetic and a slew of helpful apps and scripts to get you going right out of the box — including a full lineup of AI agents ready at a keypress.
navi updates the Debian way, on two channels: stable follows tested release tags, and eiri is the rolling channel tracking the latest development. Your machine stays on its channel with navi-update — switching is a deliberate choice, never a surprise. See misc. for the details.
